This time is available for self motivated and experienced students to use the studio, materials, and tools to work on their own projects, practice techniques, or glaze their work under the supervision of the studio manager. We recommend this for students who have taken at least one wheel or hand-building class and wish to use practice the techniques they have learned.
These are project based classes ranging from a few hours to multiple day events.
You can learn a wide variety of techniques such as pinch pots, coils, slabs, or sculpture. Hand-building is a great way for both new and experienced potters to get their hands in clay! Depending on your experience we offer a variety of projects tailored to your skill level and area of interest.
These classes are focused on wheel throwing techniques and form. The purpose of these classes is to learn the techniques and advantages to using the wheel. First time wheel students will receive lots of one on one instruction and attention and you are guaranteed at least one finished piece.
